Thank You Sir Alex

He was a legend at the club for over 26 Years and on the 8^th May Sir Alex Ferguson announced the retirement of his position as manager at Manchester United. In his time he conquered Britain, Europe and even the rest of the world with numerous trophies won including the Club World Cup. Sir Alex was infamous for his wise insight into the team, buying and raising un-likely legends such as Cristiano Ronaldo (now at Real Madrid) and Ruud Van Nilsterooy (now retired). The club has won 36 trophies including 13 Premier League trophies, and also two UEFA Champions League trophies. Sir Alex has gone but is not forgotten as loyal fans gave him a send-off fit for a champion. The Twitter hash-tag “#ThankYouSirAlex” trended for days worldwide and the club bus also shared the hash-tag. His successor has been named as David Moyes, former manager of Everton and Sir Alex will be giving him his wise insight into the club from the position of Board Director. Whether or not the club’s successor will bring more titles to the club is yet to be seen as the fate of the club now rests in his hands.
